MONDAY'S - 7:30 PM - CHANNEL 17 - It's BOB & JOHN !!!

What do real New York born-and-bred, city guys do on a nice weekend in Manhattan. Why .. they hike over to the East River, assemble a clip-together wood and canvas kayak, lower it over the sea walls and circumnavigate Manhattan.

That's one of the premises of Bob & John's Most Excellent Adventure. Bob Huszar and John Petrocelli appear weekly hosting a series of outdoor activities from kayaking to camping, motorcycling to bicycling and even take you on a journey to Woodstock 94.

M.A.S.K. Co-Founders ......

The two mischievous pranksters got together 7 years ago at a kayaking/ canoe show in Princeton, NJ. At a time when Sea Kayaking was in its infancy, they co-founded the now, 600 member MASK - Metropolitan Association of Sea Kayakers.

BTW: That's John on the left and Bob on the right!

You might have read some of their stuff .....

Oh ... but if we were to open the closet and expose some skeletons ... boy ... what shapely skeletons they would be. Bob and John not only write for some of the leading kayaking, biking and outdoor publications but their work as been seen in several so-called 'BIMBO' (Stripper Zines) publication. Hmmmmm guys. I guess you don't spend all your time in the fresh air!

Kayaking the Hudson - from NYC to Canada!!

Bob also kayaked the entire length of the Hudson River, from 79th Street in Manhattan, clear up to Lake Champlain. Of course he followed the tidal currents and entered the system of locks on the Canal above Albany.

Bob also founded the non-profit Hudson River Watertrail Association which is establishing a series of free campsites for the owners of hand powered vessels along the Hudson (this was in response to Bob nearly getting shotgunned for camping on private land up along the Hudson River.

(BTW: That's our friend Dave Konz in the Photo!)

The Hudson River Watertrail Association

The Hudson River Watertrail Association also leads free kayaking trips to experienced outdoor adventurers through the Pine Barrens of NJ and once or twice a summer .. the perennially overbooked .. circumnavigation of Manhattan Island (which can only be accomplished when weather and tidal conditions allow). Check them out!!!
